About Me

I am a busy mom of two beautiful little girls, wife, and kindergarten teacher. I love to bake and get creative in the kitchen, so when I was approached to make specialty cakes I jumped at the challenge. I never saw myself as creative since on paper, my artwork looks like that of one of my kindergartners... but with cakes, I found my canvas.

Fast forward a couple of years and the birth of my first child spawned my interest in photography. I had always liked taking pictures but now with such an inspiring subject at my disposal and Pinterest suggestions for so many cute poses, I dove right into this new hobby. Through my many Pinterest fails, I still couldn't get that perfect shot I was looking for. It was only two months later my husband gave me my first DLSR, I was in love and couldn't wait to explore all my new options. I would now have. But it wasn't until my second child that I discovered the art of manual shooting. Now I have taken it one step further with the addition of a new lens.  Watch out kids get ready for picture overload.

This blog is a kick-off to a brand new school year full of new adventures. I will be adding more cakes and new photography trials (and errors) along with new kindergarten resources and more adventures of my chaotic mommy life that make my life so comfortable.
